Enggor Street Tower, Singapore

The wind effects relating to this 63-level slender tower were studied in Windtech Consultant's boundary layer wind tunnel facility. The studies included the effect of the extreme winds on the structure and facade as well as the effect of the building motion on occupant comfort and the impact of the development on pedestrian comfort. The studies indicate that despite the height and slenderness of the proposed tower, occupant comfort due to building motion is comfortably within the various criteria. This is partly due to the irregular, punctured facade form near the top of the tower. The tower has minimal impact on pedestrian comfort. However, some ameliorate measures were recommended for the upper level terraces.
